Its natural resonance is boosted and concentrated by the arched back of this ukulele, yielding a clear and bright tone. The rosettes in all Flight ukuleles are drawn by hand and engraved by laser. The neck and fingerboard of the NUS310 Blackbird are made from African okoume and composite wood. Composite wood is an eco-friendly material, which is increasingly used in instrument making, because it helps to preserve tropical rainforests. It's a great combination that guarantees a stable intonation across the fretboard, is gentle to your hands, and looks great as well. Flight has changed the nut to high-quality black pps one, so that everything on this ukulele stays black. Headstock design is an integral part of our identity.
